Platform Terms of Use (Consumers)
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These Platform Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a contract between you and ROGEM Business Services Pty Ltd (ABN 42 624 687 814) (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as onestopcomps (the “Platform”).
They govern your use of the Platform as a consumer user (for example a performer, parent/guardian, or studio booking entries). Organisers are also bound by our separate Organiser Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
By creating an account, using the Platform, or ticking the agreement box when booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Platform is
onestopcomps is software that helps you:
- discover events published by organisers
- create an account and manage performers
- build a booking (entry) and pay through Stripe Checkout
We provide the booking technology and related tools. We are not:
- the organiser or promoter of the event
- the seller of competition entries or related event products/services supplied by the organiser
- a bank, remittance service, or payment facilitator in our own right
Payments for entry fees are accepted by the organiser through Stripe Connect using direct charges. Under Stripe’s model for direct charges, the connected account (the organiser) is the merchant of record for that charge. See Stripe — Understand the merchant of record.
2. Your account
You must:
- provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date
- keep your login credentials confidential
- only add performer information you are authorised to provide (including for children)
- use the Platform lawfully and in accordance with these Terms
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe your account is compromised, used for abuse/fraud, or used in breach of these Terms or law.
3. Relationship with organisers and event terms
Each event is provided by an organiser (a separate business). When you book:
- your contract for the event entry and related event services is with the organiser, not with us
- the organiser’s own event rules / terms (URL or PDF, if shown) may also apply — you must review them before booking
- the organiser’s name, ABN (if shown), and support contact appear on the booking page where configured
If there is a conflict between an organiser’s event terms and these Platform Terms about how the Platform works (accounts, software, booking fee, MoR), these Platform Terms prevail for the Platform relationship. The organiser’s event terms govern the event itself.
4. Fees, payments, and merchant of record
4.1 Entry fees
Entry fees and other amounts charged for the event are set by the organiser. Those amounts are charged to the organiser’s Stripe connected account. The organiser is responsible for pricing, tax treatment of their charges, receipts, and the customer payment relationship for those amounts.
4.2 Platform booking fee
We may charge a Platform booking / application fee (currently AUD $3.00 per booking unless the booking is free or the fee is otherwise zero). That fee is our charge for providing the Platform’s booking service and is collected via Stripe as an application fee on the Connect payment where applicable.
4.3 Payment processing
Card details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVCs. Payment confirmation depends on Stripe and on our systems matching the paid checkout session to the booking snapshot. If payment fails, is incomplete, or does not match the booking total, the entry may remain unconfirmed.
4.4 Currency
Amounts are presented in the currency applicable to the event/organiser configuration. Foreign transaction or conversion fees may apply under your card issuer’s and Stripe’s rules.
5. Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and disputes
Except to the extent required by applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law):
- Requests about the event (cancellation, change of mind, schedule changes, eligibility, quality of the event, refunds of entry fees, complimentary entries, and similar) must be directed to the organiser, using the support contact shown on the booking page
- Refunds and chargebacks for organiser entry fees are the organiser’s responsibility as merchant of record. Stripe’s Connect documentation provides that for direct charges, disputed amounts are generally handled against the connected account (see Stripe — Disputes on Connect platforms)
- We are not obliged to refund organiser entry fees, mediate every dispute, or reverse a charge on the organiser’s behalf merely because you are dissatisfied with an event
Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If our Platform services fail to meet a non-excludable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy from us in relation to those Platform services (for example, issues with account access or a booking fee charged by us where the Platform service was not supplied with due care and skill). That is separate from remedies you may have against the organiser for the event.
If you initiate a chargeback, you must still contact the organiser promptly and provide honest information. Unfounded chargebacks may lead to account restrictions.
6. Bookings and entry deadlines
Organisers set entry deadlines and event rules. Features that create or change a pending booking may become unavailable after the organiser’s deadline or when the event is no longer accepting entries. Completing payment before a deadline does not guarantee eligibility if the organiser’s rules are not met.
You are responsible for checking section selection, performer assignments, and totals before paying.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt to access another user’s account or data
- probe, scan, or disrupt the Platform
- upload malware or unlawful content
- misuse discount codes or payment flows
- scrape the Platform in a way that overloads or harms the service
- use the Platform to harass others or break the law
8. Intellectual property
The Platform (software, design, branding, and content we create) is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose. Organiser and user content remains the responsibility of the party that supplies it.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law:
- Event information (dates, venues, sections, prices, schedules, results) is supplied by organisers; we do not warrant that organiser content is complete, accurate, or current
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service; maintenance and outages may occur
- Offline-capable tools (for example music centre or judging) depend on device capability and prior download/cache behaviour
This clause does not limit non-excludable ACL rights.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law:
- we are not liable for organiser acts or omissions, event cancellations, schedule changes, judging outcomes, venue issues, or organiser refunds policy
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including lost opportunity to compete), except where such limitation is not permitted
- our aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Platform in any 12-month period is limited to the Platform booking fees you paid to us in that period
Where the ACL allows liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee to be limited, our liability for Platform services is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of resupply, at our option.
11. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you acknowledge that organisers will receive information needed to administer your booking and event participation.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on the Platform and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform and do not complete further bookings.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The courts of Queensland (and appellate courts) have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any rights you have under the ACL to bring proceedings in another competent forum where the law preserves that right.
